I grew up in Miami, Florida, and from a very early age I had an intense interest in the arts, music, and film.  I attended the University of Florida for undergraduate school and fashioned my own “film” degree there since there was none specifically offered, majoring in Television Production and minoring in English Film Studies.  After working as an on-air board operator for a radio station for one year, I attended Florida State University Masters of Fine Arts film program, being one of 24 students chosen for the inaugural class.  There I focused on editing and directing, editing one thesis film that won a student Emmy award, and directing another that premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival.  From there I made my way out to Los Angeles, where I started in the film business at the legendary Roger Corman’s Concorde Pictures.  It was there I started to learn all aspects of post production including supervising sound mixes, color correction, ADR, and post production budgeting.  After post production supervising the Miramax feature film “Curdled”, executive produced by Quentin Tarantino, I returned to my first love--editing.  I cut trailers at Concorde until I got my first opportunity to recut a feature, working with actor/director James Brolin.  Since then I have worked steadily as an editor cutting feature films starring actors as diverse as Josh Brolin, Treat Williams, Michael Madsen, Nicollette Sheridan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Joanna Cassidy and Wesley Snipes.
